Records verification
Document status must be clear before publication.
The archive uses availability labels so public readers can distinguish public summaries from redacted, controlled, private, or withheld materials.
Limited excerpt or document
Material may be published only after removing private addresses, third-party identities, health details, and sensitive identifiers.
Formal review only
Material may be shared with authorized reviewers, oversight bodies, counsel, or agencies, but not published broadly.
Withheld from public archive
Medical details, participant-level records, private evidence, and sensitive correspondence remain withheld unless a lawful and appropriate disclosure basis exists.
Verification status vocabulary
Publication status and evidentiary status are not the same thing. HAA uses plain labels so readers can see what the available record supports.
Verified
The cited record directly supports the stated proposition and its source can be identified.
Pending
Additional records, confirmation, or reconciliation are still being sought before a conclusion is published.
Limited
The available record supports only part of the proposition or contains a material gap that limits interpretation.
Disputed
Material sources or accounts conflict and the disagreement is preserved rather than resolved by assumption.
Unavailable
A record expected or requested for verification was not available to HAA at the time of review.
Verification Checklist
Records should pass this review before upload.
- Confirm the record category and date range.
- Separate the factual record from participant-prepared analysis.
- Remove private addresses, health details, and third-party identifying information.
- Label controlled materials as controlled rather than public.
- Use summaries where publication of raw evidence would create privacy risk.
